Glenn Mate has been teaching for the Fire School since 2007. As a main Instructor for the FFI/FFII Programs, he also teaches Flashover Simulator, Live Fire Operations, Propane & Flammable Liquid Fires, Advanced Extrication and R.I.T.; Coordinator and Instructor for Hazardous Materials Programs and Refreshers; Author and Lead Instructor for the “Back to Basics” Programs.  Glenn is a Career Firefighter/EMT with the Guilford Professional Firefighters Local Union 4177, assigned to the Tower Ladder. Glenn is a Career Deputy Fire Marshal for the Town of Monroe, Adjunct Instructor for the Connecticut Fire Academy, Rescue Specialist for the CT-TF-1 Urban Search and Rescue Team, HAZMAT 472 Tech for Region 1 &2 and is the Chairman of NFPA 1936 Technical Committee Document and is a Technical Committee Member on NFPA 350, 1006 and 1670 Documents. Glenn also specializes in teaching Technical Rescue Disciplines and teaches Firefighter skills all over the United States.
