*There will be a $100 cancellation fee if your organization/department does not cancel at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled training or if your group does not show up.

Other Important Information:


  • FRFS Safety Officers are required for all live burns and fees will be applied.

  • Classrooms are equipped with: Overhead projectors, VCR/DVD players and televisions, Computers, White Boards and Easel Charts. Please indicate what you will need at least 48 hours in advance.

  • Arrangements for copy machine, equipment and consumables MUST be requested at least 48 hours in advance. Cost for the use of copy machines will be calculated at a rate of $.25 per copy above 30 copies.

  • Facility use fees will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for private sector entities using Fire School facilities for programs that result in profit.

  • Municipal fire and emergency service departments/organizations are exempt from fees with the exception of those situations which require scheduling or support staff during non-business hours or the use of propane, liquid smoke, etc. that require special assistance. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. hours.

  • Payments should be made by check to the Fairfield Regional Fire School and should be submitted prior to the date of your class. If you prefer to pay via PayPal please email your request to frfs@town.fairfield.ct.us.

  • If you are scheduling a live burn, it is required that you complete and return the Live Fire Training Pre-Burn Permit (downloadable version available at www.fairfieldfireschool.com) AND a copy of your Safety Officer’s State certification.

  • REMINDER: The Connecticut Fire Academy MUST be notified by the Lead Instructor of your program requesting CFA observation for any Firefighter 1 and/or 2 burn programs. Contact the CFA Certification Division with any questions regarding this policy.
