Mike Donovan

Michael has over 23 years of career and volunteer fire service experience, serving with the Bridgeport Fire Department for the last 10 years. Currently assigned to a truck company, he has spent the majority of his career working on an engine company. He is a state and nationally certified Fire Service Instructor. Mike is an adjunct instructor with the Connecticut State Fire Academy and the Middlesex County Fire School. Michael is a member of the Connecticut Fire Department Instructors Association and the International Society of Fire Service Instructors. Assigned as a Rescue Specialist with the Connecticut Urban Search and Rescue Task Force, he holds technician level certifications in confined space and structural collapse. Instructor Donovan has conducted hands-on training throughout Connecticut and New England. Michael is the founder and president of Top Rung Training Associates, a full service firematic training company specializing in acquired structure live fire training. He earned a Bachelors Degree in accounting from Southern Connecticut State University.
