Christopher Tracy

Chris began his fire service career in 1987 as a dispatcher for the Westport and Norwalk Fire Departments and volunteer with the Easton Fire Department. Hired by the Fairfield Fire Department in 1990 he became a Lieutenant in 2001, Deputy Fire Marshal in 2003, and Assistant Chief in charge of Training in 2007, also serving the Fire Department as Health & Safety and Public Information Officer and Training Director for the Fairfield Regional Fire School. As Technician and PIO with the Fairfield County Hazardous Incident Response Team since 1992, Chris has taught Haz-Mat to other Regional Teams and Police Departments; he was Chief John M. Eversole’s last recruit on the NFPA 472 Technical Committee before his passing in early 2007. A Fire Service Instructor since 1995 and Eagle Scout Mentor with BSA Troop 82, Chris lives in Guilford with his wife and son.
